About
Caro
Carolyn ( "Caro") Clark is a long-time student of
Yoga, Developmental and Cognitive Psychology, and Dance. She
holds an advanced certification with YogaWorks in NYC, and
is currently working towards her therapeutics 500-hour certification
with Bo Forbes, focussing on "yoga therapeutics" for
physical, mental and emotional healing through specific poses
and a holistic mind-body connection. Caro incorporates a deep
physical practice into an inspirational class that focuses
on self-awareness and the body's individual rhythm of meditation
in movement. Classes are founded upon alignment, mindful motion
and focused stillness that all generate profound awareness
and relaxation in the mind and the body. She teaches Hatha, Vinyasa and Restorative
Yoga, all strengthened and deepened
through simple breathing techniques (pranayama).

Caro is also
a graduate of Wesleyan University (B.A. in International Politics),
has a passion for children’s rights, is a world
traveler, and is “from Europe” with one foot in France
and one foot in England (her head and heart are settled in Mass!).
She is a patient and passionate teacher who loves to work with
students from all backgrounds and all levels of practice. Through
her early work in nonprofits and international welfare, Caro
grew a deep respect for the mind-body connection and the honesty
of individual capacity in the moment: “to acknowledge and
accept our capacity in the moment allows us to develop and progress
without force or harm.” This idea of development through
self-awareness inspires all of her classes, and deepens the
healing art of all yoga practice. |
